Early Life and Background
Donte DiVincenzo was born on January 31, 1997, in Newark, Delaware. He grew up in a family of athletes, with his father, John, playing collegiate football and his mother, Kathie, being a standout high school basketball player. Donte’s older brother, John Jr., also played basketball and football in college.
DiVincenzo attended Salesianum School in Wilmington, Delaware, where he played basketball and football. He was a standout athlete in both sports, earning numerous awards and accolades throughout his high school career.
After graduating from Salesianum in 2015, DiVincenzo committed to play basketball at Villanova University.
College Career
DiVincenzo played for Villanova from 2015 to 2018, helping the team win two NCAA championships in 2016 and 2018. Over his three-year college career, he averaged 10.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game, while shooting 48.1% from the field and 36.5% from three-point range.
